Houbigant was the first fragrance company to figure out how to separate certain compounds from organic raw materials. They unveiled Quelques Fleurs in 1912, the first real multi-floral bouquet ever made. Before that, floral scents were often made from a single flower or a combination of flowers, herbs, and other essences. According to The Genealogy of Perfumes, Quelques Fleurs was a breakthrough that created a completely new category of perfumes and had a long-lasting impact on compositions, including many of today's significant fragrances.
This month we've chosen Quelques Fleurs Jardin Secret as the fragrance of the month. Intoxicating, mesmerising, and full of floral notes, Jardin Secret is a contemporary olfactory portrayal of a lovely garden where hundreds of flowers are in bloom.
