Paradise
From: Mylo Xyloto (2011)
When we talk about 'Paradise' we already talk about the artistic
maturity of the band ‘Coldplay’. It was praised above all for the
use of synthesizers, guitars, and basses that the band
incorporated in this song differently. There’s the dropped drum
beat, the vaguely dubstep-like bassline, and the “Para-paraparadise”
hook of the chorus. This is all played over a New Ageish
sounding backing; strings, the familiar simple piano riff,
and, eventually, a choir who intone a “Woah-oh-oh-oh” line. The
song sold nearly a million copies and topped the UK Singles
Chart.
The band Coldplay first achieved resounding success with the
song "Yellow" from their album Parachutes in 2000 and since
then they have always managed to reinvent themselves on a
musical level. Since the beginning they sought new
instrumental and sound experimentations, and have included
them in their songs.
British alternative rock and pop band Coldplay is simply one of
our favorites. This band was born in London, England, in 1996.
It was created by Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Guy Berryman,
and Will Champion.
