and the Japanese Prime Minister announced the hosting of
games irrespective of the coronavirus crisis in Japan. 83% of
Japanese demanded the cancellation of the 2021 Olympic games
as these games were believed to be a hindrance in Japan's
progress against the coronavirus pandemic. “Olympics kill the poor” Despite these protests as Covid-19 cases rose to record levels,
Japan chose to organise the Olympics with tough preparations
which resulted in successful events.

Tokyo Olympics fired up on July 23, 2021. Faster, higher, stronger - Together India sent a large contingent of 127 participants from 18 sports to
the Tokyo Olympics.
