Aside from becoming BS6 compliant, the Nexon's 1.2-litre
three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 10bhp
more than before, with 170Nm of peak torque. However, the
difference is barely noticeable, and performance advantages
will most likely only be apparent after thorough Vbox testing.
In ordinary city driving, the 6-speed AMT performs admirably,
but the manual is the way to go if you want to fully unleash the
1.2 turbo's capability.
The low-to-medium speed ride quality is good, and indeed the
high-speed ride is plain brilliant, as it is with most Tata
automobiles. The suspension has been fine-tuned to remove the
sharp edge that existed previously, and the ride quality has
much improved. Body roll has not increased by a significant
amount. While taking a bend or changing lanes at high speeds,
it does increase a little bit. It does, however, instil confidence in
you every time you do so.
Cars under 5 Bajaj Qute
Even if the four-wheel, four-door form makes the distinction a
little murky, the Qute, India's first quadricycle, is clearly
different from a car. It may resemble an automobile, albeit a
caricature, yet its lines were carved by the utilitarian mindset's
basic dreams. It includes a roof and windows to keep the
weather out, as well as a bonnet to protect your luggage from
the elements and a starting price of under 3 lakhs. This would
be the ideal rivalry for Tata Nano.
what about the engine? That's also really basic! It's a singlecylinder, 216cc, twin-spark, liquid-cooled motor that runs on
CNG (or petrol) and produces 11hp (13.2hp in the petrol-only
variant). Because of this, the four 12-inch wheels are equipped
with drum brakes rather than disc brakes. This isn't a highway
machine by any means.
