Diwali
 Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a time when people all over the country decorate their homes with lit diyas, small clay lamps, and other festive lights. Diwali lights represent the triumph of good over evil. Colorful lighting is used to illuminate buildings and streets. People wear new clothes and celebrate with spectacular firework displays.
It is celebrated around mid-October and mid-November, depending on the lunar calendar. Diwali celebrations are observed by both Hindus and non-Hindus all around the world. In addition to India, the festival is observed as a public holiday in Fiji, Guyana, Pakistan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Trinidad, and Tobago.
